$200 Deposit: At this deposit amount, #1 and #3 are the best choices. If you are playing $10nl or lower and $5 tournaments or lower then choose option 1. If you plan on playing any higher stakes than those then choose option #3 and try to get the extra bonus.
$400 Deposit: With a middle size deposit such as this, choose either option 4 or option 1 based on which stake and how much volume. If you played 2 months of $50nl for several hours a day then option 4 would be more benificial. If you plan on playing small amount of volume then option 1 would be the best choice.
$1000 Deposit: Option 3 is the best choice. It is nearly impossible to earn the max rake needed for option 4 and you should work on getting the most bonus dollars combined with the highest rewards rate.
Reload Bonuses: Minted Poker from time to time has reload bonuses. An example of one would be 5000% deposit bonus up to $500 Reload bonus, so a $50 deposit would allow you to receive 20% additional rewards. These should be done as often as possible after your initial deposit bonus is finished to maximize your reward potential.
Everleaf Network Cash Player Restrictions
After a player makes €750 in any week at a cash game table, then they will be restricted to the games that they may play. While Grinderschool does not condone this policy, Everleaf is attempting to keep the funds of the many bad players into the hands of the bad players as long as possible. This policy only effects the Euro tables and Everleaf estimates this new restriction only effects 0.004% of the player pool. Players may still play cash games after they make €750, but only with other winning players and against poor players. If you are fortunate enough to win €750 early in the week and would still like to play on quality tables, then we recommend joining Cake Poker. With 33% rakeback Cake Poker would make a great 2nd home for successful Minted Poker grinders.
Everleaf Network Traffic
Back To TopThe following table shows how the Everleaf Poker Network compares to other online poker networks during peak hours:
| Rank | Poker Network | Peak Players in Lobby | Cash Game Players |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Poker Stars | 200,000+ | 35,000+ |
| 2 | Party Poker | 22,000+ | 6000+ |
| 3 | iPoker | 18,000+ | 6000+ |
| 27 | Everleaf | 2000 | 700+ |
The majority of cash game traffic at Minted Poker play at the 4-max and 6-max tables, with only very limited selection full ring tables. Peak times are around 9am to 3pm EST. Even outside of peak times you will be able to find 2-6 tables running at any limit at the short-handed tables.
| Game | Type | Number of Tables | Total Players |
|---|---|---|---|
| Texas Hold'em | No Limit | 90 | 360 |
| Omaha | Pot Limit | 8 | 39 |
Minted Poker has very little action going in the tournament section. The games that do run are sure to be of great value but the volume just isn't there to make Minted Poker a place for tournament players to head to at this time.
Minted Poker Rake Calculation
Minted Poker uses a “weighted contributed” rake calculation, which means that the amount of rake credited depends on the amount of money a player puts into a pot. “Weighted contributed” is often called “paid rake,” and means you don’t collect any points if you don’t see a flop, and rake is credited depending on how much you put in.Some consider it to be the most fair method for calculating points, because the “weighted” means that the players who put the most money into the pot receives the most credit toward points. For instance, if player A puts $10 into a pot, and players B and C $20, $2.50 would be raked out of the $50 pot, and player A would only be credited 20% of that rake ($.50) and players B and C 40% each ($1).
Unfortunately for some, this means your playing style affects your rewards. Tight players, who don’t enter a lot of pots and therefore do not pay as much rake, have a more difficult time amassing points.
Overall Minted Poker Review
Back To TopFor micro and small stakes players, Minted Poker is Grinderschool's #1 choice to play shorthanded cash games. The software is great, 40% rakeback is a huge plus and the games are very good. Unfortunately the traffic is slow but as word spreads about the software, rakeback, great deposity bonuses and excellent support team they are sure to pick up players in the near future. If you're a short-handed NLHE player then look no farther for a new poker room; make Minted Poker your home today.
